NAGS HEAD, NC (February 12, 2015)—For the first time, designer Gail Kowalski of Nags Head was selected by leading style expert and television personality Michael O’Conner to send a large assemblage of her designs to the SAG Awards Style Lab Jewelry Suite in Hollywood, where elite celebrities were given the opportunity to select jewelry for the SAG Awards events held January 24-25. Over $20 million worth of jewelry from world-renowned jewelry brands was assembled. Jewelry by Gail was in the company of brands such as Dena Kemp, Takat, Vahan, and Susan Eisen.
Celebrities attending the event included Kate Flannery (“The Office), Julie Lake, (“Orange is the New Black”),Sherri Saum (“The Fosters”), Kate Linder, (“The Young & the Restless”), Adina Porter (“True Blood”), Adrienne C. Moore, (“Orange is the New Black”), and Rachel Brosnahan (“House of Cards”), among others.
Jewelry by Gail designs received a flurry of excitement. Adrienne Moore was particularly taken with a long pair of spiraling gold and Amethyst earrings, named Stairway to Royalty. Kate Linder selected a luscious lavender/bronze/khaki baroque Pearl necklace for her press photos. Julie Lake looked fabulous in a large teardrop-shaped pink Morganite and Diamond pendant (The Climbing Rose Pendant) suspended on a Platinum & Diamond neckpiece. She also found a long swooping Jewelry by Gail earring design that featured Pink Tourmalines to go with the necklace, and borrowed the pieces in hopes they would match her awards gown. Unfortunately, her dress did not complement the jewelry, so she returned the items to the Style Lab.
Kate Flannery looked radiant in a gold ring design showcasing a rare, 3.45ct. light-green Garnet from the Merelani Hills of Tanzania. Adina Porter fell in love with a spectacular Tahitian Pearl and orange Mexican Fire Opal pendant (The Mermaid’s Choice Pendant) suspended on a wide gold ribbon design neckpiece (The Ribbon Collar). She looked fabulous, and she made a special note of her discovery for upcoming awards events.
